SAP and Microsoft Join Forces for Next-Generation AI Revolution
Generative AI is the next frontier of artificial intelligence, and SAP and Microsoft are leading the way. Together, they are bringing the power of generative AI to SAP SuccessFactors solutions, enabling new experiences that will help customers address the talent gap. Here are some of the highlights of this exciting collaboration.
- SAP and Microsoft announced a new collaboration to integrate SAP SuccessFactors solutions with Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot in Viva Learning, as well as Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI Service.
- The collaboration is the latest step in the long-standing partnership between SAP and Microsoft, which dates back to 1972 when SAP was founded as a private partnership named Systemanalyse und Programmentwicklung.
- The partnership aims to deliver next-generation AI that will unlock productivity growth for every individual, organization and industry, including the human resources function.
- The partnership also covers other areas such as cloud migration, digital supply chain and Industry 4.0 solutions.
Some of the use cases based on generative AI that the partnership will enable are:
Recruiting: Within SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting, recruiters and hiring managers can use Microsoft 365 Copilot to create a hyper-tailored job description based on both SAP SuccessFactors data and external data. They can also use Azure OpenAI Service to generate interview questions based on the candidate’s resume/CV, the job description, and similar jobs. Both use cases have built-in bias checks to help with inclusive hiring practices.
Learning: Employees can use Microsoft Viva Learning and Copilot to find personalized learning plans which include courses from SAP SuccessFactors Learning, along with other sources. As learning is completed, the skills gained will be reflected in an employee’s growth portfolio within SAP SuccessFactors, providing employees and organizations an up-to-date view of their skills. For example, the National Basketball Association (NBA) selected RISE with SAP on Microsoft Azure to co-innovate with its fans, satisfy the needs of its teams, and provide the best possible experience for the game of basketball overall.
