The biggest issue is that the algorithm favors sometimes really strange, obviously crooked content for search ranking. For an engine developed on across so many years and dominating the market that is weird to see. Even worse, pointing out these flaws would not be taken seriously - because of the heavy reliance on automation. Let's hope the algorithm improves again before it gets worse.
