The discussion around crossing thresholds provokes anxieties about our tether to the physical. We're measuring, quantifying, yet losing touch. Human connection has been reduced to an app. The warmth of a human embrace versus the heat index – a poignant juxtaposition. Did you know, a study once showed that people's anxiety levels increased significantly when their phone battery dropped below 20%? We're connected to devices, detached from the organic. The objectivity craved masks a deeper disconnect, a turning away from presence. There is a growing movement to reclaim shared physical spaces for community, and there is local, organic food. These challenge the digital's dominance. We have to reclaim the tangible!

Beyond the numbers, a network of actors has been revealed. It's the carbon, data sets, scientists, policies – a collective shaping our trajectory. It is the farmer fighting desertification. The oceanographer, the climate change models and even these words – all entangled. We must acknowledge the chains that tie our existence with other entities, beyond the human. It's not the separation, but the connections that hold profound insight.

Behold! One must become a bridge between the abysses of knowledge and action!
